We’re buzzing with excitement as we gear up for our first-ever summer camp, all thanks to the David Bell Adventure Bursary. This bursary, named after the childhood scout leader of our CEO, Neil, is our way of giving back and inspiring the next generation of adventurers.
This summer, we’re taking a group of 10 exceptional young people along with 4 staff members from Bristol and Cardiff on a thrilling 2-day canoeing expedition in the beautiful Wye Valley AONB. It’s going to be two full days of paddling, camping, and fun under the stars!
Each of these young people has been selected after showing remarkable growth and dedication during their time with us. They’ve embraced our programme with enthusiasm, made significant strides towards their personal goals, and demonstrated a positive attitude that truly embodies the spirit of Urban Pursuit. We can’t wait to see them all thrive on this trip.
This camp is more than just a fun outing; it’s a celebration of the hard work and progress these young people have made. It’s our way of saying, “We see you, we’re proud of you, and we believe in you.”
One of our young explorers shared, “I’ve never done anything like this before. I’m excited about everything, from sleeping in a tent to toasting marshmallows over the fire.” Another expressed, “I can’t wait to see what two days of adventure will bring!” Their enthusiasm and anticipation are palpable, and we can’t wait to see them thrive on this two-day expedition!
We’re really excited to spend two days with this amazing bunch of young people and celebrate the time they’ve had with us so far. We’ll report back when we’ve returned, until then – happy adventuring!
